new single: Every Night You Pray

We hebben een nieuwe single uitgebracht: het titelnummer van de laatste cd, "Every night you pray". Je kan het hier gratis downloaden via de site.
Voor de rest is het nu volop schrijven en repeteren met producer Mario Goossens (Triggerfinger, Blackbox Revelation..) om deze zomer de opvolger voor "Every night you pray" op te nemen. Om onszelf toch wat speling te geven is de release voorzien voor begin 2010. We houden jullie op de hoogte.

We hebben ons afgelopen weekend weer prima vermaakt. Een uitstapje naar Belgie staat garant voor een paar geslaagde dagen met goed eten, goed bier, veel lachen en...... zoals afgelopen zondag goede muziek. We staan zondag namelijk lekker pintjes te verslinden op een klein pleintje, even verder dan het hoofdterrein als ik, met de rug naar het podium staande, opeens opschrik van een bekende stem. "maar dat is... dat kan niet anders dan dat..." ik loop vervolgens naar het podium waar een trio zijn uiterste best doet het publiek te vermaken. Hoewel ik de stem direct herken doet de verschijning mij toch nog ff twijfelen. De eerste keer dat ik Anton Walgrave ontmoette was rondom 2000/2001 als voorprogramma van Wishbone Ash. Geheel kaalgeschoren, zoals hij ook op zijn eerste cd "The Hum" staat afgebeeld hebben we toen, blij verrast over zijn optreden toen, enthousiast staan praten, zijn cd gekocht en een plectrum gescoord. Nu sta ik te kijken naar een verwilderde krullenbol met wilde baard die zo uit de film "Caveman" is weggelopen. Toch verraad de stem het gedaante, ANTON WALGRAVE Eindelijk, ik had al regelmatig zijn tourprogramma bestudeerd om eens af te zakken naar het zuiden om optredens van hem te bezoeken en nu, zomaar ineens, sta ik in Tienen menig couplet mee te brullen. Mijn zangtalenten nemen namelijk kantitatief nogal toe met menig liter Jupiler achter de slokdarm. Het is nu drie geweldige cd's later en menig Belg die ik aansprak/aanspreek op hun geweldig talent weet niet van het bestaan van deze, live volop in zijn eigen muziek opgaande Vlaming. Vreemd, heel vreemd! Natte Alie mocht ongesteld geraken, Kloezo door een wervelwind van het podium geraken en KWO door een logisch Belgisch verkeersaanduiding in zuid-spanje op zoek zijn naar het podium: De kebab mocht bedorven worden, het bier lauw of uitverkocht en de borsten van de serveerster bij ontbloting tot op de tenen hangen, in plaats van de door ons geschatte hoogte van op de knieen: Mijn weekend kon niet meer kapot!
